One thing that is hard to convey in pictures is the tactile nature of the switches on my lamps. When I do craft shows kids come up and flip every toggle switch, turn every rotary switch and key, push every button. The parents (sometimes) will tell their kids to knock it off, but I know they want to do it too by the way they select just a couple to try out. This lamp has a couple different toggle switches, each of which make a very satisfying "clack" when you turn a bulb on or off. Each controls it's own bulb, so you can have a dimmer bulb and a brighter bulb, and can choose whatever you need at the time.
